It was the second year for the Man vs Mountain race by Rat Race Adventures. 20 miles up and down Snowdon with a few obstacles thrown in at the end, just for good measure.
I haven’t taken part in the race, but if you are looking for a review of it then check out Alan’s blog. I have spectated both years and been on hand to provide aid, towels, fluid and a taxi service. As a spectator it is quite a nice area to be in. You can’t really watch most of the race (as it is up a mountain) but you can easily see them off and catch them before the bag drop and again at the finish line.
This year felt far more organised than last year. It is good to see that the organisers have taken on board learnings from last year and improved the registration process and the finishing funnel. This year we also had the benefit of much drier weather!
The day was enjoyable, there was a slightly large crowd of supporters this year and the atmosphere was positive. I’m pretty sure i’ll be back again next year but most likely with my camera rather than trainers…..
