Today our latest project for Ordnance Survey went live. After months of hard work, it is great to have it online and available for all to see. Starting at the beginning, we worked with the internal team to scope out all the details before sketching, wire-framing, designing and building the final project.
Designed for children, MapZone is a fun, engaging educational tool that supports the national curriculum. Bursting with educational content including how-to videos, animations, games, quizzes and interactive subjects; it can be used independently by children or as a teaching aid for teachers and parents.
Creating an educational tool for Ordnance Survey is no easy task. Months of planning, designing, building and user testing went into MapZone.
“Emily and Dan have been excellent to work with from day one. They have been professional, approachable and flexible throughout the project. We are delighted with the finished website and their interpretation of the brief has been exemplary. Thank you Social You for all your efforts!” – Sophie, Ordnance Survey.
Designed with tablet use in mind, the site is a support tool for children, teachers and parents that covers a range of geography-based topics, quizzes and games.
The site uses non-traditional methods of presenting information to ensure children stay engaged and re-visit the site regularly.
Subject knowledge tested through the use of quizzes and games.
Visit MapZone to try it for yourself.
