I’m back from Canada and the training begins! I had a long sleep last night; I was awake for quite a few hours due to flying and time zones changing. This morning, I certainly felt like a zombie for a few hours – the best cure? Get out on the bike!
It seems to take me a little while to wake the legs up. Overall, my legs felt fairly strong – must have been all that mountain hiking over the last couple of weeks. What is letting me down at the moment is my cardio. Top of the hill = out of breath.
Lots of hills and plenty of wind today. I was due to do 20 miles, but couldn’t lengthen the route anymore without repeating loops. Only a few miles short. I’m working up to 60 miles – it’ll be my longest ever distance. Here goes!
